This annual meeting lasted for 1/2 day and gathered 43 participants, from 21 countries. WG1 coleaders summarized the activities of the group during Grant Period 1 (December 2020 - October 2021) and presented the ongoing and future activities planned for WG1 in 2022. These will include at least 2 training schools "for the dummies" (each on one of the main disciplines allowing to measure or infer MFC) and the cowriting of at least 3 review/perspective papers (on the concepts, methods and knowledge gaps in the emerging field of MFC research).
