COST Action CA19107

Unifying approaches to Marine Connectivity for Improved Resource Management for the Seas

In 2020-2024, this COST Action brought together a large, international and interdisciplinary group of scientists and stakeholders with diverse yet complementary expertise. Our goal was to advance knowledge and unify concepts and approaches in the emerging field of Marine Functional Connectivity (MFC) research to design and apply research effectively contributing to the conservation and sustainable management of the Seas.

Marine Functional Connectivity (MFC) characterizes all the migratory flows of marine organisms that determine the interdependency of populations, species and ecosystems, at sea but also at the land-sea interface.
